ABOUT ME

Hello! I’m Layne Johnson, the founder of Bright Beginnings Tutoring and Homeschool Support LLC. I’m a former classroom teacher with a heart for helping children grow academically while building confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I have an active teaching certificate in the state of Alabama, a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education.

With years of experience in education, I understand that every child learns differently. That’s why I provide personalized, one-on-one instruction using research-based teaching methods tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs. My approach focuses on strong foundational skills in reading and math while encouraging perseverance and confidence in a calm, supportive environment.

I am passionate about partnering with families—whether through tutoring, homeschool support, homework help, or kindergarten readiness—to help students thrive. I believe learning should be thoughtful, encouraging, and grounded in purpose, honoring each child’s God-given potential.

As a tutor and educator, my goal is not only academic growth, but also to create a space where students feel supported, capable, and motivated to do their best. I strive to build meaningful relationships with both students and parents, offering clear communication, consistency, and encouragement throughout the learning journey.
